Allied Board Meeting 1/16/26 Call to Action

The long awaited updated regs have been proposed and as a result multiple parties, particularly MaMHCA, have responded with suggested amendments. Most amendments were dismissed by the board with concerning reasoning, outlined in the board published-CMR comment chart. MaMHCA continues to advocate for the integrity of the profession by identifying the intent of the proposed changes which includes the LSMHC and approved supervisor updates. There have been additional considerations to include individuals outside the profession to be included in these changes. See our efforts outlined in the following letters to the board.

Get involved via MyLegislature (MA)

Create a MyLegislature Account

Go to malegislature.gov
Click "MyLegislature" in the top right corner.
Sign up for an account using your email address.
Creating an account lets you follow bills, legislators, and committees, and receive notifications about updates.

Track Bills

Use the Search bar at the top of the homepage to search by bill number, keyword, or sponsor.
On the bill’s page, click “Add to MyLegislature” to follow it.
You’ll be notified of changes in status, hearing dates, and votes.

Find and Follow Legislators

Click “Legislators” in the top menu.
Enter your address to find your state representative and senator.
Follow their profile pages to get updates on their sponsored bills and public statements.

Follow Committees

Go to “Committees” in the main menu.
Click into any committee (e.g., Education, Public Health).
You’ll see a list of members, bills in committee, and upcoming hearing dates.
Click “Follow Committee” to stay in the loop.

Watch Hearings & Sessions

Many hearings and formal sessions are streamed live or recorded.
Go to the “Events” page or the committee's page to find video links or details.
You can also watch sessions from the House or Senate chambers live on the site.

Pro Tips

Enable Notifications: Make sure email notifications are turned on in your profile so you don’t miss updates.
Save Bills to a Folder: Organize the legislation you’re following by issue area or priority.
Set Calendar Reminders: When hearing dates are announced, add them to your calendar right away.
