Volunteer Opportunities


The committee shall monitor and make recommendations on legislative and regulatory developments before the Massachusetts Legislature, U.S. Congress, and other appropriate bodies, and advise the Corporation on matters affecting the welfare and working conditions of mental health counselors.

The committee shall seek ways to increase membership through recruitment of new members and provide guidance on retention.

Responsible for carrying out nominations and elections procedures in accordance with the By-Laws. This committee is chaired by the immediate Past President.

Composed of the Council of Past Presidents and chaired by the immediate Past President (or designee), the Ethics Committee serves as an educational and public relations resource on ethical practice.

Appointed by the President and Board of Directors, this committee serves as Parliamentarian, maintains working knowledge of MaMHCA By-Laws, and reviews and drafts revisions when directed.

Advises the MaMHCA Board on matters related to diversity, equity, and inclusion affecting MaMHCA and Licensed Mental Health Counselors.

Oversees the Haberman-Williams MaMHCA Scholarship Program, reviews applications, and selects scholarship recipients.
