Lunch and Learn: Understanding Narcissistic Relational Dynamics and Guiding Clients Back to Themselves

1.5 hour (1.5 Continuing Education Credits)

Description (virtual workshop on zoom): 

To help clinicians understand how these dynamics form, why they’re so powerful, and how we as clinicians can guide clients back to a grounded, empowered sense of self. Presentation includes an introduction to narcissistic relationship patterns in clinical practice, reviewing how these relationships begin and hidden negotiations, and the psychological drivers of narcissistic behavior. Discussion includes reviewing the impact on the client, the theoretical framework and therapeutic approaches to working with clients in these types of relationships. 

Our Presenter: Dr. Alan Cassell, LMHC 

About our presenter:

Dr. Cassell has worked in clinical roles for over ten years. He describes himself as a compassionate and results driven Licensed Mental Health Counselor with advanced training in counseling psychology and extensive experience supporting individuals in crisis, navigating complex relational dynamics, and rebuilding emotional stability. Skilled in risk assessment, crisis intervention, and evidence based therapeutic modalities including CBT, ACT, and Mindfulness Based interventions, Dr. Cassell has been passionate about working with clients engaged in these types of relationships for the last five years.

**Allow for 15 minutes after the presentation to submit eval for CEs**
