Join Us for this Exciting, IN PERSON offering at the MaMHCA Bergstrom Conference Center in Foxboro!

Sometimes called "acupressure for the emotions,” Energy Psychology techniques like Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) (or "tapping”) is a focused method that rapidly releases the emotional impact of stressful or traumatic life events from the body-mind system. Demonstration, discussion and practice will focus on how to access the wisdom of the body with intention and awareness.

Participants will learn the clinical application of a simple, powerful technique that taps into the body’s energy system to improve mental and physical health. Rapidly and gently releases the effects of trauma and stress from the body-mind system. Supported by 200+ published studies. EP can support changes in a variety of behaviors and thought patterns. Presentation will include PowerPoint, lecture, video, group discussion, live demonstration, partner practice sessions and handouts on how to access the wisdom of the body with intention and awareness.

About the Presenter:

Meg is a long-time MaMHCA presenter who brings over 30 years' experience as a therapist, counselor educator, and clinical supervisor, having worked with clients in private practice, community settings, and colleges. She has taught graduate counseling students for 25 years in 3 different graduate programs, and coordinated graduate Field Training for over 10 years. Meg's background as yoga teacher and founding member of Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health informs her holistic approach to integrative body-mind treatment. She utilizes EMDR, Energy Psychology, Psychosynthesis, Somatic Experiencing, MBSR and other whole person approaches in her work with trauma survivors, individuals and couples.
