Love and Desire: A Closer Look into the Anatomy of Relationships

With humor and the latest research and techniques, Paola will address the most fundamental topics in couples work- communication skills, conflict resolution, and sex/sexuality. Specific strategies and exercises will be presented using examples from Paola's own experience, to enable clinicians to apply evidence based principles and successful strategies in their own work.
About the Presenter: Paola began her career in 2001, working with foster children, and a focus on addictions, crisis intervention, and family work. In 2009, she began started a private practice working with couples, and expanded her career to include trainings on couples treatment, sex and sexuality, and work within the transgender community. In 2014 Paola earned her certification as a sex therapist from the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT). In 2014, she relocated her practice Fort Lauderdale and Miami.

Deep Waters and High Waves: Steadying the Parental Ship

Being able to “captain the ship” when either parental conflict or outright sabotage is taking place, is one of the biggest challenges faced by those working with kids. And yet it is often the health of the family leadership that is the foundation of the healthy functioning of the family. Using case studies and vignettes, Norm will share many of the successful techniques that he has developed and implemented to respond to the challenges we all face when working with families.

He is an outstanding speaker with an ability to use comedy, music, impersonations and other creative avenues to educate and inspire people to grow.
