Scholarship Program


Scholarship Winners:

Hannah Emerson (UMass Boston), is an outstanding student who stands out both in and out of the classroom. She has experience working in residential programs for female adolescents and participating in research and presenting results at national conferences. Hannah is also a recipient of a highly competitive Graduate Research Assistanship. One of her professors stated: "the faculty in and outside of our department greatly appreciate her intellectual strenghts, work ethic, and her ability to create a sense of community among her peers."

Alyssa Murphy (Boston University), has extensive experience in working with youth and has an unrelenting passion for helping children and adolescents. She is utilizing this passion in pursuing a double concentration in child an adolescent mental health counseling and school counseling. Her goal is to bring more mental health services to schools. Alyssa is also an active research assistant in Boston University's Social Adjustment and Bullying Prevention Lab. One professor stated: "In her coursework, Alyssa has consistently impressed me with her excellent academic work, her professionalism, and her passion for ensuring all students have supportive relationships and opportunities for social and emotional growth."
