- MaMHCA ZOOM ROOM
Foxboro, MA , 02035
This virtual workshop is designed for all levels of clinical experience. More experienced Play Therapists may find this session less challenging, however you are welcome to come and Play!
Play therapy is an incredibly powerful and evidence-based treatment approach that provides children the opportunity to communicate with a trained play therapist in their natural language—play. While play therapy has strong theoretical foundations and a long history, it is frequently misunderstood by both mental health and non-mental health professionals. This workshop will provide participants an opportunity to learn more about the field of play therapy, learn, observe, and practice foundational skills of play therapy, and will conclude with analysis of case examples/activities from clients ages 5 – 20 with whom the presenter has worked. While this workshop is designed for those without formal training in play therapy, all are welcome to participate.
