This is a virtual workshop on Zoom. Pre-registration is required.
This workshop will offer new perspectives on grief and loss due to death or other psycho-social factors such as job loss, divorce or trauma. We will discuss varied ways in which to counsel greivers, with the focus on redefining the relationship, how to integrate the loss in order to move forward with it, rather than move on from it. Ways that grief can manifest behaviorally, emotionally, physically, cognitively and/or spiritually will be explored. Lastly, attention will be given to the critical noture of counselor self-care in order to do the work.

Ken Barringer, LMHC is a long-term MaMHCA member and former faculty with MaMHCA who has been supporting clients through grief and loos for decades. We are delighted to have Ken preenting with us again, and bringing this important topic to our curriculum.
