This workshop will focus in how boys are cultured to behave in ways that limit their overall social/emotional development. Thus, males may only realize "half" of who they are. When boys are referred to counseling, therapists may be tempted to treat the social role that boys have been cast into and not the whole person. However, counseling may be the place to give boys the "permisson" they need to be their "full" selves. We will explore ways of working with boys individually and in groups as well as way to engage their caretakers.
