Supervision is defined as the artful integration of clinical skills, education and experience to ensure the integrity of clinical services to the client and to develop competence in the supervisee. It provides the structure and framework for learning how to apply knowledge, theory, and clinical procedures to solve human problems. This workshop is intended for experienced clinicians who wish to become trained supervisors. It will include examples, role play, and templates for supervision assessment.
This workshop is approved to fulfill the initial or renewal requirements for the MaMHCA Certified Clinical Supervison Credential (MaCCS).

Michelle Napoli, DAT, LMHC, ATR-BC, REAT
Michelle Napoli is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Board Certified Art Therapist, Registered Expressive Arts Therapist, and holds a doctorate in art therapy. Michelle has been a counselor educator and supervisor for over 12 years specializing in cross-cultural arts-based trauma treatment. Michelle’s research looks at the ethical engagement of Indigenous Methodology in clinical approaches, specifically with communities post genocide. She is also the founder of the Survivor Quilt Project, which focuses on preventive and proactive approaches to intergenerational trauma.
