| Ethical Issues for the Informed Clinician: A Professional Plan of Action for Transfer of Records |
| 3 Category II MMCEP Approved CEs |
| This workshop will present a Professional Plan of Action for continuity of care and the transfer of records when a therapist becomes incapacitated or dies. The ACA, AMHCA, and AAMFT Codes of Ethics address this issue. Are you prepared? This workshop covers the importance of a Personal Plan of Action, and includes a brief review of the Codes of Ethics and the law as they pertain to this subject. The participants will receive an outline to develop their own Personal Plan of Action. This will include the client contact, informed consent information, a list of legal documents needed and the many components n
ecessary to fulfill ethical and legal responsibilities. Discover why a “Professional Will” is not sufficient to comply with the Codes of Ethics. |
