Slide Webinar: “Regulations Changes LMHCs Need to Know Now!” a slide webinar authored by Midge Williams, LMHC, MaMHCA Executive Director, and used in her workshop presentations on the New LMHC Regulations 2015 - 2017.
The final phase of implementing the new LMHC Regulations, (CMR-262; of June 5, 2015) will go in to effect July 1, 2017.
In addition to changes in requirements for licensure as an LMHC, the CMR-262 also includes important new elements that impact LMHC practice, including:
Minimum requirements for a client record,
Minimum requirements for informed consent to treat,
New, specified ethical standards, and
New standards for Approved Supervisors and supervision.
The webinar will cover these changes, how they will effect practice, and what LMHCs need to do to assure they are practicing in a responsible, legal and ethical manner.

Video Webinar: Working with Step Families: With Judy Osborne, LMFT, LMHC
We have all been there. Even when relationships are good, working with step families can be very complex. Join Judy Osborne for her thoughts on working with what she terms, ”Blended Families”. Judy Osborne has over thirty years of experience in working with Blended Families, helping them to negotiate new and evolving roles as families grow and change.
This was the last workshop that Judy presented for MaMHCA, before she retired from practice in Massachusetts and moved out-of-state. Take advantage of this opportunity to hear a very thoughtful practitioner and teacher speak from her vast experience working with families while practicing at Stepfamilies Associates in Brookline, MA.
Judy Osborne is a licensed mental health counselor and family therapist with 30 years of experience including individual, family and group counseling, teaching, supervision and consultation with schools and mental health agencies. Her work focuses on issues of marriage, separation, divorce and stepfamily living as well as concerns about family alcoholism and substance use/abuse. She is the author of Wisdom for Separated Parents: Rearranging Around the Children to Keep Kinship Strong (Praeger, 2011).
