This workshop will help broaden the understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) as many adults who would be helped by an ASD diagnosis are currently undiagnosed or misdiagnosed. Clinicians will gain insight into screening patients for ASD, learn about neurodiversity and viewing ASD through an inclusive lens. This workshop will also focus on the relationship between a partner with Asperger's or ASD (diagnosed or not) and their non-spectrum partner.

This workshop will address some of the issues surrounding shame and self scrutiny, which can hinder a trainee's learning. Our discussion will include working with our own blind spots as we attempt to create a safe space for compassion and clear self-reflection on the part of our supervisees.

The new LMHC regulations, the CMR-262 went into effect June 5, 2015. This training presents an overview and conceptual framework for the 15 hour Core Course Component of MaMHCA's Supervison Training program.
